Rossana is the founder of The Self Bloom Studio, an educational platform dedicated to helping people recognize unhealthy relationship dynamics, build self-awareness, and cultivate healthier relationships. After experiencing an abusive relationship and the devastating loss of her partner to addiction, Rossana transformed her pain into purpose. Today, she empowers others to understand the patterns that keep them stuck, trust themselves, and choose relationships rooted in safety and authenticity. Read on to discover how Rossana is breaking cycles of unhealthy relationships, self-abandonment, and waiting for people to become who they might one day be.
How do you define a “Cycle Breaker?”
To me, a cycle breaker is someone who is willing to gently explore the patterns, beliefs, and experiences that have shaped them with compassion rather than judgment. Many of our behaviors once helped us survive, so breaking a cycle isn’t about blaming ourselves or those who came before us. It’s about creating enough awareness to decide whether those patterns still serve us and, when we’re ready, choosing something different.
What adversities or experiences have you lived through?
One of the most life changing and transformative experiences I’ve lived through was my last relationship. It was through that experience that I came to recognize unhealthy and abusive relationship dynamics while also becoming a widow after losing my partner to addiction. Healing has meant grieving the loss of someone I deeply loved while also processing the impact of the relationship itself. Those experiences were deeply connected, making the healing process especially complex, but they also became the catalyst for much of my personal growth and the work I do today.

What is a cycle, belief, or pattern you’ve worked to break or challenge in your life?
One of the biggest patterns I’ve worked to challenge was staying in relationships where I was holding onto hope that someone would eventually become emotionally available, ready, or willing to grow. I often focused on who I believed they could become rather than accepting where they were in the present. Over time, I realized that love isn’t about carrying someone else’s growth or waiting for their potential to become reality. Learning to accept people for who they are, rather than who I hoped they would become, has completely changed the way I approach relationships and the choices I make for myself.
What helped you begin healing, growing, or changing that cycle?
For me, everything starts with awareness. Once we can recognize a pattern, we’ve already created an opportunity to respond differently. From there came education, understanding where those patterns came from and why they made sense at one point in my life. Then came the hardest part, practicing something different. One of the biggest things that has helped me is learning to pause before reacting. That pause has allowed me to make choices that align with who I want to be instead of automatically repeating patterns that no longer serve me.

What are your proudest accomplishments?
One of the things I’m most proud of is having the courage to make difficult decisions, even when the outcome was uncertain. There have been several moments in my life where I chose to prioritize my well being, my values, and the life I want to build, despite not knowing what would come next. Those decisions weren’t easy, but they have taught me that trusting myself is something I can build through action, especially during uncertainty.
Is there a message, quote, lesson, or reminder you’d like to share with others who may be struggling along their healing journey?
One day at a time.
Give yourself grace and trust the process. Healing often feels messy before it feels meaningful, and growth isn’t always something you notice while you’re living through it. You’re not alone in what you’re carrying. There are people who understand, and finding a supportive community can remind you that healing doesn’t have to happen in isolation.

Do you have any projects you’re working on that you’d like to highlight?
I recently started The Self Bloom Studio, a space dedicated to education and awareness around unhealthy relationship dynamics and the ways they can impact our everyday lives. My goal is to help people better understand the patterns that may be affecting their relationships with themselves and others, from subtle unhealthy dynamics to domestic violence awareness, while encouraging self reflection, curiosity, and informed conversations that support healthier relationships.
